The best joke there ever was.

I love a book that makes me cry. Anne of Green Gables, L.M. Montgomery (via turningpagebooks)

I’ve been convalescing most of the past week. I had a cold that turned into pneumonia and spent most of my time in bed. Nothing to do but read … so I read Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea and Anne of the Island. I can’t believe I never read them when I was a little girl, because I would have absolutely loved them. Just downloaded the complete series on my Nook. See you whenever.

“It always bothers me to see people writing ‘RIP’ when a person dies. It just feels so insincere and like a cop-out. To me, ‘RIP’ is the microwave dinner of posthumous honours”
